Positive displacement refrigeration compressors such as twin screw, scroll, rotary vane type have several advantages over centrifugal type designs. These advantages include high pressure ratio, high turn down ratio, high reliability, simpler control system, energy efficiency over the compressors entire operating range, attitude insensitive, and tolerant to high g-loading.
Because our compressors are powered by direct drive electric motors they can be driven at high speeds. This allows the compressor to be compact and light weight while still providing high cooling capacity. The compressors can accept various drive and motor types. Some of the motors that are used in our compressors include 400Hz induction synchronous motors, brushless direct current (BLDC), and permanent magnetics synchronous motor (PMSM).
