Xcelaero’s refrigeration compressors for vapor cycle systems are designed to provide high performance while meeting rigorous requirements and specifications for the aerospace and defense market. Positive displacement refrigeration compressors such as twin screw, scroll, rotary vane type have several advantages over centrifugal type designs. These advantages include high pressure ratio, high turn down ratio, high reliability, simpler control system, and energy efficiency over the compressors entire operating range.
Because Xcelaero’s compressors are powered by direct drive electric motors they can be driven at high speeds. This allows the compressor to be compact and light weight while still providing high cooling capacity. The compressors can accept various drive and motor types.
