Efficient Modular Cooling System for Aircraft
Bascom’s efficient modular cooling system is an electrically powered vapor cycle system specifically designed for cooling ISR, radar, and other electronic payloads on aircraft. It has a flexible mounting and interfaces. The system utilizes interchangeable components and can be configured to provide air or chilled liquid. Heat is rejected overboard through an interfacing outside air channel. The system can also utilize various types of AC or DC electrical power input.
A single cooling system can provide between 1kW and 5kW of cooling. The unit is designed for compliance with DO-160 & MIL-STD-810 environmental requirements and MIL-STD-461 EMI standards.
Bascom Hunter provides custom multi-point system-to-system electronic connections. EMI minimization by usage of EMI preventing backshells and metallic overbraiding. Outer braided sleeving for further protection. RS-422, ARINC 429, 1553, ethernet, fiber optics connections.
Bascom Hunter maintains a full-service machine shop with rapid prototyping capabilities that permits us produce large and small precision items of any quantity and from virtually any material to aerospace standards.
