Bascom Hunter’s Digital Intermediate Frequency Interoperability (DIFI) v1.2 IP Core is a fast-deployable solution to incorporate DIFI support into your system. DIFI is the emerging IEEEISTO Std 4900-2021 standard for transferring RF data, such as digitized ADC and DAC samples, between system components.

DIFI uses a packet structure that simplifies the interoperability and communication of digital RF components from different vendors. Bascom Hunter is a contributing member to the DIFI consortium and has directly participated in feature updates such as the addition of flow control mechanisms.

Key Features

– Supports DIFI packetization/encapsulation
– Multi-stream implementations for high-rate data using multiple DIFI/ UDP/IP stacks
– Compatible with all AMD/Xilinx FPGA/SoC families that support AXI4 streaming interfaces
– Multi-stream implementations for low-rate data using a single DIFI/UDP/IP stack
– Standard AX14 interfaces: AX14-Stream for data interfaces and direct connect interfaces for control/status

Delivery Options

The core is available in two delivery configurations:
    – Encrypted Net-list: All source code is encrypted except for a reference testbench
    – Open Source: All source code is unencrypted, viewable and changeable

Included with Purchase

    – IP Core code package including unencrypted testbench
    – One year warranty: Bascom Hunter will fix functional flaws in the core for 1 year after date of purchase at no cost. Support that is not related to a functional flaw or all support beyond 1 year after date of purchase can be provided at an hourly consulting rate.
